Cigweld Satincrome 309Mo-17 Welding Electrodes

Satincrome 309Mo-17 is a high alloy rutile type stainless steel electrode manufactured by Cigweld for the fillet and butt welding of 24Cr/13Ni stainless steels. Designed for all positional welding except vertical-down, this electrode is ideal for both single and multi-pass applications. It delivers outstanding operator appeal thanks to its high AC arc stability, smooth arc transfer, very low spatter levels, and excellent bead shape and contour.

With an advanced moisture-resistant flux coating, it minimises start-of-run porosity and improves slag removal, which is enhanced in all positions with self-peeling characteristics. Satincrome 309Mo-17 is also suitable for dissimilar welding of austenitic “300 series” stainless steels and selected “400 series” ferritic grades to mild or low alloy steels, including 403, 405, 410, 416, 420, 430, 430F-Se, 446, and 3CR12.

Compliant with ISO AS/NZS 4854: B ES309MO-17 and AWS A5.4: E309MO-17, it’s designed to deliver sound radiographic quality and high mechanical strength, including 620 MPa tensile strength and 35% elongation.
