Cigweld Satincrome 316L-17 Welding Electrodes

Satincrome 316L-17 is a low carbon, rutile type stainless steel electrode designed for the all positional (except vertical-down) fillet and butt welding of 19Cr/10Ni type stainless steels. Manufactured by Cigweld, this electrode offers excellent arc stability, radiographic-quality welds, and smooth arc transfer characteristics. It features an advanced moisture-resistant flux coating that provides improved resistance to porosity at arc start and enhanced slag lift — self-peeling and non-spitting in all positions.

The 2.5% molybdenum content increases resistance to pitting corrosion and raises creep strength, making it suitable for higher temperature applications. Satincrome 316L-17 is commonly used for welding 316 and 316L stainless steels, but is also suitable for other 300-series austenitic stainless steels including 301, 302, 303, 304/304L, and 3CR12 types.
