Cigweld Verticor 316LT MIG Wire 15kg

The Cigweld Verticor 316LT MIG Wire 15kg is a premium E316LT1 gas shielded stainless steel flux cored wire designed for positional welding applications on molybdenum-bearing 316 and 316L stainless steels. Developed for high deposition rate welding and excellent operator control, Verticor 316LT delivers smooth arc performance, low spatter and consistent weld quality across all major welding positions.

• AWS/ASME-SFA A5.22: E316LT1-1 (CO₂)
• AWS/ASME-SFA A5.22: E316LT1-4 (Ar + 18–25% CO₂)

Designed for 316 & 316L Stainless Steels

Verticor 316LT is engineered for welding matching 316 and 316L stainless steels and is also suitable for general purpose welding of other 300 series austenitic stainless steels including 301, 302, 304 and 304L grades.

The weld metal chemistry using CO₂ shielding gas includes:

• C: 0.03%
• Cr: 18.8%
• Ni: 12.0%
• Mo: 2.5%

The molybdenum addition enhances corrosion resistance, making it suitable for marine, food processing and chemical environments.

The rutile flux core produces smooth arc transfer with very low spatter. The fast-freezing slag provides excellent weld pool control, resulting in smooth mitre to slightly convex fillet welds.

• Elongation: 42%

Using Argon + 18–25% CO₂:

• 0.2% Proof Stress: 410 MPa
• Tensile Strength: 580 MPa
• Elongation: 39%

Recommended Shielding Gas & Operation

Recommended shielding gases:

• Welding grade CO₂
• Argon + 18–25% CO₂ (ISO 14175 M21)

Operates on DC electrode positive (DCEP) with typical gas flow rates of 15–20 L/min.
