Cigweld Verticor 81Ni2 MIG Wire 15kg

The Cigweld Verticor 81Ni2 MIG Wire 15kg is a premium E81T1-Ni2 gas shielded rutile type flux cored wire designed for the all positional welding of medium to high strength steels. Engineered to produce a low alloy weld deposit containing approximately 2% Nickel, this wire delivers improved strength, toughness and low temperature impact performance.

Higher Strength & Low Temperature Performance

Verticor 81Ni2 produces a weld deposit in the 550 MPa tensile class, making it suitable for structural applications where enhanced strength is required.

Typical all weld metal mechanical properties using Argon + 25% CO₂ include:

• Yield Stress: 590 MPa
• Tensile Strength: 660 MPa
• Elongation: 27%
• CVN Impact: 70 J average @ -40°C

Recommended Shielding Gas & Operation

Recommended shielding gas:

• Argon + 18–25% CO₂ (ISO 14175 M21)

Operates on DC electrode positive (DCEP) with typical gas flow rates of 15–20 L/min.

Typical diffusible hydrogen levels are <8 ml/100g of deposited weld metal when using Argon + 25% CO₂.
