Cigweld Autocraft 316LSi MIG Wire 1kg

The Cigweld Autocraft 316LSi MIG Wire 1kg is a premium ER316LSi low carbon stainless steel welding wire supplied in a convenient 1kg mini spool. Designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of molybdenum-bearing stainless steels, this compact spool format is ideal for small fabrication jobs, maintenance work and mobile welding applications requiring corrosion-resistant performance.

Autocraft 316LSi is specifically engineered for welding 316, 318 and 316L stainless steels and is also suitable for general welding of 301, 302, 304/304L, 321, 347, 410 and 430 grades.

Extra Low Carbon for Corrosion Resistance

With a carbon content of approximately 0.02%, this wire produces extra low carbon weld deposits that resist carbide precipitation. This helps prevent intergranular corrosion when welding low carbon stainless steels.

The weld deposit maintains a controlled Ferrite Number of 5–10 FN, improving resistance to hot cracking and ensuring consistent weld integrity.

High Silicon for Smooth Arc & Bead Profile

The elevated silicon level (0.70%) enhances:

• Arc stability
• Weld pool fluidity
• Edge wetting
• Clean bead appearance

This results in smooth welds with minimal spatter and reduced post-weld finishing requirements.

Typical all-weld metal mechanical properties using Argon + 1–3% O₂ shielding gas include:

• 0.2% Proof Stress: 470 MPa
• Tensile Strength: 640 MPa
• Elongation: 38%
• CVN Impact: 90 J average @ -60°C

These properties make it suitable for corrosion-resistant, marine and cryogenic service applications.
