Cigweld Comweld 308L TIG Wire

Comweld 308L (ER308L) is a high-quality, low-carbon stainless steel filler rod designed for Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) and oxy-acetylene welding of a broad range of low carbon and stabilised 300 series stainless steels. With excellent resistance to corrosion and cracking, it is ideal for welding 304 and 304L stainless steels, especially in critical or cryogenic applications.

This rod is copper-coated and comes in resealable 5kg plastic tubes for ease of use and protection. The DARK BLUE pack label and end stamping provide instant identification, ensuring you always select the correct filler for your job.

Comweld 308L delivers consistent weld metal properties, with a proof stress of 450 MPa and tensile strength of 600 MPa. The filler rod features an austenitic weld deposit with 5–8% ferrite and has a typical melting point of 1400°C.

Suitable for both manual gas welding and TIG processes, it is engineered to meet AS 1167.2 and AWS/ASME-SFA A5.9: ER308L classifications, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability for stainless steel fabrication.
