Cigweld Autocraft Mn-Mo MIG Wire 15kg

The Cigweld Autocraft Mn-Mo MIG Wire 15kg is a premium copper coated low alloy steel wire designed for the all positional Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of medium to high strength steels. Engineered with elevated manganese and molybdenum levels, this wire delivers improved mechanical strength and exceptional resistance to porosity — particularly when welding dirty, scaled or lightly rusted plate.

• ISO AS/NZS 14341: B G 55A 3 C1/M21/M24 S4M31

Autocraft Mn-Mo produces weld deposits in the 550 MPa tensile class, making it ideal for structural and pressure applications requiring greater strength than standard ER70 wires.

Designed for Higher Strength & Toughness

This wire produces a low alloy weld deposit containing approximately:

• 1.73% Manganese
• 0.45% Molybdenum
• 0.65% Silicon

The higher deoxidant levels provide:

• Excellent resistance to porosity
• Improved tolerance to mill scale and light rust
• Strong, sound weld deposits in challenging conditions

Mechanical Performance

Typical all-weld metal mechanical properties using Argon + 18–25% CO₂ shielding gas include:

• Yield Strength: 580 MPa
• Tensile Strength: 680 MPa
• Elongation: 24%
• CVN Impact:
  80 J @ +20°C
  47 J @ -30°C

Diffusible hydrogen levels are typically 1.0–2.0 ml/100g of deposited weld metal, supporting reduced hydrogen cracking risk.
