Cigweld Autocraft AL4043 MIG Wire 7kg

The Cigweld Autocraft AL4043 MIG Wire 7kg is a premium quality ER4043 aluminium welding wire containing a nominal 5% silicon alloy. Designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of selected wrought and cast aluminium alloys, AL4043 delivers smooth arc performance, excellent crack resistance and consistent weld quality across a wide range of aluminium fabrication and repair applications.

Autocraft AL4043 is precision layer wound and manufactured with tight wire diameter control to ensure smooth, stable feeding and consistent arc characteristics.

Designed for Cast & Wrought Aluminium

AL4043 is widely used for welding:

• Cast aluminium alloys (primarily 4XX and 6XX series)
• Selected wrought aluminium alloys (1XXX, 5XXX and 6XXX series)

It is extensively used in the repair welding of aluminium castings where crack resistance and fluidity are critical.

Due to its silicon content, the weld metal offers:

• Lower weld deposit strength
• Excellent crack resistance
• Smooth, fluid weld pool behaviour

Note: It is not recommended where an exact colour match is required after anodising.

• Tensile Strength: 186 MPa
• Elongation: 8%

Treated & Aged:

• 0.2% Proof Stress: 276 MPa
• Tensile Strength: 303 MPa
• Elongation: 5%
