Description
WIA Austarc 16TC Welding Electrodes
The WIA Austarc 16TC welding electrode is the go-to choice for welders across Australia, renowned for its superior performance and reliability in demanding applications. As a smooth-running, basic low hydrogen electrode, the 16TC is specially developed for all positional welding (except vertical down) using AC or DC power sources. Its exceptional arc stability and weldability make it perfect for producing high-quality welds with reliable notch toughness down to -40°C.
The Austarc 16TC is manufactured using a unique twin coating extrusion process that concentrates arc stabilizing elements in the inner coating. This ensures significantly improved arc stability and control, making the 16TC electrode suitable for a wide range of applications, from critical pipe welding to maintenance work on high-strength steels.
