Cigweld Verticor 309LT MIG Wire 15kg

The Cigweld Verticor 309LT MIG Wire 15kg is a premium E309LT1 gas shielded stainless steel flux cored wire developed for positional and downhand welding applications on matching 309 and 309L stainless steels. Designed for high deposition rate welding and excellent weld pool control, Verticor 309LT delivers smooth arc characteristics with very low spatter.

• AWS/ASME-SFA A5.22: E309LT1-4 (Ar + 18–25% CO₂)

The rutile type flux core produces a fast-freezing slag that provides excellent weld pool control and smooth mitre to slightly convex fillet welds.

Ideal for Dissimilar Welding

Beyond matching 309 and 309L stainless steels, Verticor 309LT is suitable for:

• Dissimilar welding of 300 series stainless steels to mild or low alloy steels
• Welding selected 400 series ferritic stainless steels (such as 3Cr12)

This makes it ideal for fabrication shops working on structural stainless transitions and clad components.

• Ni: 13.0%

Recommended Shielding Gases

Recommended shielding gases include:

• Welding grade CO₂
• Argon + 18–25% CO₂

Operates on DC electrode positive (DCEP) with recommended gas flow of 15–20 L/min.
