Description

Hobart FabCOR Edge Ni1 Metal Cored MIG Wire

Hobart FabCOR Edge Ni1 Metal Cored MIG Wire is a high-performance gas-shielded metal-cored wire designed for welding high-strength low-alloy steels and demanding structural applications. Engineered to deliver superior weld quality and productivity, FabCOR Edge Ni1 offers excellent gap-bridging capabilities, high deposition rates and reliable performance in challenging fabrication environments.

One of the standout characteristics of FabCOR Edge Ni1 is its virtually no silicon deposits at weld bead toe lines, which significantly reduces post-weld cleaning and grinding. This results in faster production times and improved weld appearance.

Compared to solid MIG wires, FabCOR Edge Ni1 provides higher deposition rates and faster travel speeds, enabling welders to complete jobs more efficiently while maintaining excellent weld integrity. The metal-cored design also produces stable arc characteristics with low spatter levels, helping maintain consistent weld quality throughout the process.

FabCOR Edge Ni1 also offers excellent impact toughness at low temperatures, making it suitable for applications requiring strong mechanical properties and resistance to cracking. The wire performs well in both single-pass and multi-pass welding applications and is particularly suited to heavy equipment fabrication and structural steel work.

By reducing clean-up time, minimising inclusions and burn-through risks, and improving welding efficiency, Hobart FabCOR Edge Ni1 helps increase productivity and reduce overall fabrication costs.
