Cigweld Comweld AL4043 TIG Wire

Cigweld Comweld AL4043 (R4043) TIG Wire is a premium quality aluminium filler rod containing nominal 5% silicon, ideal for both Gas Welding and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) applications. It is widely used for the repair of aluminium castings—particularly for fractures and blow holes—thanks to its excellent crack resistance and lower weld deposit strength.

Suitable for a range of cast alloys (primarily 4XX and 6XX series) and selected wrought alloys (1XXX, 5XXX, and 6XXX series), this rod is not recommended where colour matching after anodising is required. Its copper-coated finish and green end tip make for easy identification, while the clean surface quality enhances arc stability and minimises porosity.

Manufactured to strict AWS and AS classifications, AL4043 is an excellent all-around choice for aluminium fabrication and repair in marine, automotive, and general engineering applications.
